RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TEACHERS’ COMPETENCIES AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF SCHOOL TEACHERS IN SCHOOLS IN KLONG SAM WA DISTRICT UNDER BANGKOK METROPOLITAN ADMINISTRATION

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the teachers’ competencies and academic performance of teachers in schools 2) to study the relationship between teachers’ competencies and academic performance of teachers in schools in Khlong Sam Wa District under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. The sample group were 253 school teachers by stratified random sampling. The tool was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire with the content validity = 0.67- 1.0 the reliability of teachers competencies = .94 and academic performance of teachers =.97. The reliability in overall = .98. The Statistics used in data analysis include frequency, percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, the Pearson product moment correlation coefficient, and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis.

The results of the research were 1) teachers' competencies in overall and each aspect were at a high level, the highest average was the ethical and morality competency while the lowest average was teachers’ self-development, the teachers’ academic performance in overall and each aspect were at a high level, the highest average was the developing of the learning process while the lowest average was the development of educational media, innovation and technology 2) the relationship between teachers’ competencies and teachers’ academic performance in overall was positive with fairy high correlation, with statistically significant at the .01 level (r=.797 ≤ .01). Self-Development Competency and Teacher’s Ethics and Integrity could explain academic performance of teachers at 65 percentt (R2 = .65).

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาสมรรถนะของครูและการปฏิบัติงานวิชาการของครูในโรงเรียนเขตคลองสามวา สังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร 2) ศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสมรรถนะของครูกับการปฏิบัติงานวิชาการของครูในโรงเรียนเขตคลองสามวา สังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร 3) ศึกษาสมรรถนะของครูที่อธิบายการปฏิบัติงานวิชาการของครูในโรงเรียนเขตคลองสามวา สังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ ครูในโรงเรียนเขตคลองสามวา สังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 253 คน ได้จากการสุ่มแบบแบ่งชั้น (Stratified Random Sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ คือ แบบสอบถามแบบมาตรประมาณค่า 5 ระดับ มีค่าความตรงเชิงเนื้อหา IOC = .67-1.0 ความเชื่อมั่นสมรรถนะของครู = 0.94 การปฏิบัติงานวิชาการของครู = 0.97 รวมทั้งฉบับ = 0.98 สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สันและการถอดถอยพหุคูณแบบเป็นขั้น (Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) สมรรถนะของครูในโรงเรียนเขตคลองสามวา สังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร โดยภาพรวมและรายด้านอยู่ในระดับมาก โดยด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดคือ ด้านจริยธรรมและจรรยาบรรณวิชาชีพครู ด้านที่มีค่าต่ำสุด คือ ด้านการพัฒนาตนเอง ส่วนการปฏิบัติงานวิชาการของครูในโรงเรียนเขตคลองสามวา สังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร โดยภาพรวมและรายด้าน อยู่ในระดับมาก ด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด คือ ด้านการพัฒนากระบวนการเรียนรู้ ด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยต่ำสุด คือ ด้านการพัฒนาสื่อ นวัตกรรม และเทคโนโลยีทางการศึกษา 2) ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสมรรถนะของครูกับการปฏิบัติงานวิชาการของครู โดยภาพรวม มีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกอยู่ในระดับค่อนข้างสูง อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 (r = .797 ≤ .01) 3) สมรรถนะของครูด้านการพัฒนาตนเองและด้านจริยธรรม และจรรยาบรรณวิชาชีพสามารถอธิบาย การปฏิบัติงานวิชาการของครู ได้ร้อยละ 65 (R2 = .65)
