THE DEVELOPMENT OF SAXOPHONE PRACTICE ACCORDING TO TREVOR WYE'S GUIDELINES TO STRENGTHEN FUNDAMENTAL SAXOPHONE SKILLSFOR BEGINNERS

Abstract

The objectives of this research are as follows: 1) To develop a saxophone practical training program following the Trevor Wye guidelines. 2) To compare the scores of basic saxophone skills after using the Trevor Wye-based training program with a 70% benchmark. 3) To study the satisfaction of training recipients with the use of the Trevor Wye-based saxophone training program. The target group includes high school students, students at the equivalent level, and the general public interested in saxophone practice, totaling 5 individuals. The research tools used in this study are as follows: 1) A saxophone practice program, requiring 56 hours of training. 2) An assessment tool for saxophone performance skills. 3) An assessment tool for measuring the satisfaction of training recipients with the saxophone training program. The research findings are as follows: 1) The saxophone practical training program following Trevor Wye's guidelines is highly suitable, with an overall average rating of 4.37. 2) After using the Trevor Wye-based training program, the average score for basic saxophone skills is 20.40, which is 85% higher than the 70% benchmark. 3) The satisfaction of trainees with the use of the saxophone practice model following the guidelines of Trevor Wye, to enhance fundamental skills in saxophone playing for beginners, is overall very high. When considering specific aspects, the highest average satisfaction rating was found in the area of mentorship, followed by content and learning media, respectively.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อพัฒนาแบบฝึกการปฏิบัติแซ็กโซโฟน ตามแนวทางของเทรเวอร์ วาย 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบคะแนนทักษะการปฏิบัติแซ็กโซโฟนระดับพื้นฐาน หลังการใช้แบบฝึกการปฏิบัติแซ็กโซโฟน ตามแนวทางของเทรเวอร์ วาย กับเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 และ 3) เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจของผู้รับการฝึกที่มีต่อการใช้แบบฝึกการปฏิบัติแซ็กโซโฟน ตามแนวทางของเทรเวอร์ วาย กลุ่มเป้าหมาย ได้แก่ นักเรียน นักศึกษาในระดับมัธยมศึกษาหรือเทียบเท่า หรือบุคคลทั่วไปที่สนใจการปฏิบัติแซ็กโซโฟน จำนวน 5 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ 1) แบบฝึกการปฏิบัติ จำนวน 1 ฉบับ ใช้เวลา 56 ชั่วโมง 2) แบบประเมินทักษะการปฏิบัติแซ็กโซโฟน และ 3) แบบประเมินความพึงพอใจของผู้รับการฝึกที่มีต่อแบบฝึกการปฏิบัติแซ็กโซโฟน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยหาค่าเฉลี่ย ผลการวิจัยมีดังนี้ 1) แบบฝึกการปฏิบัติแซ็กโซโฟน ตามแนวทางของเทรเวอร์ วาย ในภาพรวมมีความเหมาะสมอยู่ในระดับมาก โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.37 2) ทักษะการปฏิบัติแซ็กโซโฟนระดับพื้นฐาน หลังการใช้แบบฝึก ฯ พบว่า ผู้รับการฝึกมีคะแนนเฉลี่ย เท่ากับ 20.40 หรือคิดเป็นร้อยละ 85 ซึ่งสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ที่กำหนดไว้ 3) ความพึงพอใจของผู้รับการฝึกที่มีต่อการใช้แบบฝึกการปฏิบัติแซ็กโซโฟน ตามแนวทางของเทรเวอร์ วาย เพื่อเสริมสร้างทักษะพื้นฐานในการปฏิบัติแซ็กโซโฟน สำหรับผู้เริ่มต้น ในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก เมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้าน พบว่า ด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด คือ ด้านครูที่ปรึกษา รองลงมาคือ ด้านเนื้อหา และด้านการสื่อการเรียนรู้ ตามลำดับ
