THE RESULT OF DEVELOPMENT RESULT OF THE ENGLISH READING COMPREHENSION SKILL BY USING MIND MAPPING AND KWL PLUS TECHNIQUE FOR PRATHOMSUKSA 6 STUDENTS

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) to develop learning management plan of the English reading comprehension skill by using mind mapping and KWL Plus technique for Prathomsuksa 6 students. 2) to compare the students’ English reading comprehension skill by using mind mapping and KWL Plus technique for Prathomsuksa 6 students and 3) to study students’ satisfaction toward the English reading comprehension skill by using mind mapping and KWLPlus technique for Prathomsuksa 6 students. The population group was 140 Prathomsuksa 6 students, in 2nd semester, 2020 school year, Pongpha Educational Development Network Group, Maesai district, Chiang rai province. The sample group was 31 Prathomsuksa 6 students, Namjam School in 2nd semester, 2020 school year that was simple random sampling, lottery using school as a unit for randomization. The instruments used in this study were the lesson plans, English reading comprehension test and questionnaire. The data were collected and analyzed by using the statistics: percentage, mean standard deviation, T-test dependent, and the efficiency standard at 75/75. The research finding showed: 1) The efficiency of learning management plan for the English reading comprehension skill by using mind mapping and KWL Plus technique for Prathomsuksa 6 students was at 78.12/75.91. 2) The students who had learned through the English reading comprehension skill by using mind mapping and KWL Plus technique for Prathomsuksa 6 students had higher the post-test scores than the pre-test scores with the statistical significance of 0.05. 3) The Prathomsuksa 6 students’ satisfaction toward the English reading comprehension skill by using mind mapping and KWL Plus technique for Prathomsuksa 6 students overall were at the high level.

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) พัฒนาแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ รายวิชาภาษาอังกฤษพื้นฐาน รหัสวิชา อ16101 โดยใช้เทคนิคการสร้างแผนที่ความคิดร่วมกับ KWL Plus ชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่มีประสิทธิภาพตามเกณฑ์ 75/75 2) เปรียบเทียบทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียนด้วยการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้โดยใช้เทคนิคการสร้างแผนที่ความคิดร่วมกับ KWL Plus และ 3) ศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่มีต่อการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้โดยใช้เทคนิคการสร้าง แผนที่ความคิดร่วมกับ KWL Plus ประชากร ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2563 เครือข่ายกลุ่มพัฒนาการศึกษาโป่งผา สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาเชียงราย เขต 3 จำนวน 140 คน กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนบ้านน้ำจำ ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2563 จำนวน 31 คน ได้มาโดยการสุ่มแบบง่าย วิธีจับสลาก โดยใช้โรงเรียนเป็นหน่วยในการสุ่ม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจ และแบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบค่าที (T-test Dependent) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้เทคนิคการสร้างแผนที่ความคิด ร่วมกับ KWL Plus ชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 จำนวน 6 แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ เวลา 12 ชั่วโมง มีประสิทธิภาพ E1/E2 เท่ากับ 78.12/75.91 2) ทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 จากการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้โดยใช้เทคนิคการสร้างแผนที่ความคิดร่วมกับ KWL Plus หลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 3) ความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่มีต่อการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้โดยใช้เทคนิคการสร้างแผนที่ความคิดร่วมกับ KWL Plus โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก
