The Development of Learning Activities Based on Concept of Multicultural Education To Enhance Reading Comprehension Ability for Ethnic Students

Abstract

The objectives of this research were (1) to create and inspect the quality of learning activity plan based on the concept of multicultural education to improve reading comprehension of ethnic group students;and (2) to compare the pretest and post-test results of the development of reading comprehension among the ethnic group students. The sample group consisted of 30 first-year ethnic group vocational students from Chaiphanphong College of Technology in Semester 1, Academic Year 2023, selected by purposive sampling. The research tools consisted of (1) five multicultural study-based learning activity plans; and (2) a reading comprehension assessment plan. Statistics used in the study were the mean, standard deviation, and one sample T-test. The results were that: (1) the result of the multicultural study-based reading comprehension learning activity plan assessment was that all learning plans got the highest rating;and (2) the post-test reading comprehension score of ethnic group students was higher than the pre-test score with a statistical significance level of .05

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพี่อ (1) เพื่อสร้างและตรวจสอบคุณภาพแผนกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิดพหุวัฒนธรรมศึกษาเพื่อพัฒนาความสามารถการอ่านจับใจความของนักศึกษากลุ่มชาติพันธุ์และ (2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบผลการพัฒนาความสามารถการอ่านจับใจความของนักศึกษากลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียนกลุ่มตัวอย่างในการวิจัยคือ นักศึกษากลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ระดับประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพชั้นปีที่ 1 วิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีไชยพันธ์พงษ์ จำนวน 30 คน ที่ได้มาโดยการเลือกแบบเจาะจง ในภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2566 เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย (1) แผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิดพหุวัฒนธรรมศึกษา จำนวน 5แผนและ (2) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถการอ่านจับใจความสถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ค่าเฉลี่ยส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานและการทดสอบค่าทีแบบกลุ่มเดียว ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) ผลการประเมินคุณภาพแผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิดพหุวัฒนธรรมศึกษาเพื่อเสริมสร้างทักษะการอ่านจับใจความพบว่าแผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ทุกแผนการเรียนรู้อยู่ในระดับคุณภาพมากที่สุดและ (2) ผลการเปรียบเทียบความสามารถการอ่านจับใจความของนักศึกษากลุ่มชาติพันธุ์หลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
